Sorabol's Exclusive Dish Revealed + Eat for a Good Cause with Westfield's "Dine on Time"

If you missed last week's post, I wrote about teaming up with Sorabol and Westfield SF to create an exclusive dish for a good cause and for a new Westfield experience. Now I can finally let you guys know what I'm up to and tell you about the dish we created together. 

Spring Mix Noodle Salad with Grilled Shrimp

The Exclusive Dish

Sorabol's Chef Theresa Lee and I worked together to create a Spring Mix Noodle Salad with Grilled Shrimp. The shrimps are fresh, the egg noodles are tender and cooked to order, and the special house soy dressing really brings the entire salad together with brightness. We wanted to come up with a healthy option that left people feeling satisfied.

It was very cool watching Chef Lee in action, especially in a super small kitchen. We came up with a couple of dish ideas on the fly and she was able to whip two dish concepts together in less than 15 minutes! While cooking, she would explain and walk me through what she was thinking and doing.

The first dish she made was a vegetable mix over brown rice. It was delicious, but wasn't unique enough to be an exclusive dish (the dish I'm holding in the first photo). When we sampled both dishes, it was clear which dish was the winner!

The Spring Mix Noodle Salad with Grilled Shrimp dish is a secret menu item that can only be ordered on Westfield's new food ordering app, Dine on Time, starting today until the next 6 months. If my dish gets ordered the most through the app, Westfield will make a donation on my behalf to benefit the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank

You can order this dish with the Westfield Dine on Time app or on the website for scheduled pick-up or delivery for easy and convenient dining. 

For those of you who are not shrimp fans, you can customize it and substitute the shrimp with something else, such as BBQ chicken or tofu. 

This entire experience has been really awesome! Thanks so much to Westfield Labs, Edelman, and Sorabol for making this all happen. It was great to meet and work with the brilliant and humble Chef Theresa Lee to create this dish.
